We moved the livingroom to the south because of the winter sun. The partition wall of the original room was also removed, and the remaining wall extends out from the fireplace, which is the center of the house. The staircase is placed in front of the north window and is no longer just a simple structure connecting the two levels, but also a visual focal point on the facade. It is the sky light that passes through the curtain, making the daily life into a curtain silhouette, and anyone can get different narrative experience through the personalized observation perspective in the interface of the staircase.

The project is a top-floor duplex located in Fuzhou, which is opened by two sets of spaces, forming a 1,000 square meter symmetrical thermocline layout structure. The design takes a waltz as the narrative background, breaks the coherent dance into fragments of architectural forms, disassembles the visual symbols of the available images, and then, through unified spatial thinking, connects the relationships between scenes, and finally frames it as a figurative design interpretation.

For this interior design project, we sought to create a harmonious blend of modern elegance. By integrating seamless wood veneer treatments from the walls to the ceiling, we elevate the overall ambience, offering a cocooning warmth that envelops the entire space.
To complement the natural warmth of the wood, we incorporated terrazzo flooring and surfaces. The terrazzo’s speckled texture and modern appeal create a perfect juxtaposition with the organic wood. The addition of dark stainless steel trim further enhances the finesse of the design, providing sleek lines and a touch of edge. To breeze up the palette, we introduced splashes of soft cyan color. This gentle hue adds vibrancy and freshness, ensuring the interior feels lively without overpowering the serene atmosphere.
Another design focal point is the placement of artworks, which ensure that the home feels curated and personal, with each artwork adding to the overall story of the space.

Walking from the outdoors into this residence, transparent glass doors replace most of the walls, creating a connection between the inside and outside, allowing natural light to flood in and making the whole area more open and bright. The first floor features an integrated living and dining room without any partition walls, resulting in a freely flowing layout. The designer crafted a personalized dwelling that meets various daily living scenarios based on the client's lifestyle and habits. Although the space is limited, the life within it is boundless. The implicit spiritual power of the spatial realm does not necessarily rely on a large number of decorative items and a layering of colors; it can also come from a moderate amount of space left blank.

From the beginning of the design, we hoped to find an inner link between people and space, paying attention to people's needs for function and spirit in the space. The scale, vision and alternation of the field, including the change of the sun's irradiation angle, are basic details carefully considered by us, based on which new spatial dynamic lines, field relationship and people's experience is built. In daily time, people and space feels and fulfills each other.

The villa overlooks a breathtaking view of the PacificOcean, not far from the birthplace of Japan's yachting culture. The design pursues asculptural form befitting this stunning natural environment, symbolized by the large, vaulted roof andarches that evoke the image of the white, rippling sea. With the sea as a motif, we looked for a woodenstructure that shared similarities with yachts andbridges, and the curves of the atrium roof made of CLT (cross laminated timber) give the interior space a senseof expansiveness.
Built on a southwest facing slope, the ocean view can be enjoyed from every space in the room. You can also enjoy resort life in the pool and Jacuzzi with a view of the beautiful ocean. The floor color is emerald green, which evokes the shallow waters of the ocean. The entrance is reminiscent of the undersea, with a white, shell-like staircase floating in the air.
