Tatu Ahlroos

President of the International Federation of Interior Architects / Designers (IFI) Tatu Ahlroos holds a master’s degree from Aalto University and has worked in the field of architecture and design for 20 years, exploring new and questioning the old, by using service design methods and modern BIM- and AI-processes.

He is the founder of TCD-Taking Care of Design, working with retail, hospitality, private and design related projects.

He has served as the Chairman of The Association of Finnish Interior Architects SIO 2015–2020 and has been working as a board member and expert in national art and design related organizations and institutions and held numerous lectures.

Dr. Ellen Fisher

Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean, New York School of Interior Design Ellen Fisher, Ph.

D., CID, dean and VP for Academic Affairs of New York School Interior Design, has led the college through a decade of growth and increased prestige.

She maintains a small design but wide-ranging design practice.

Under her leadership, NYSID established an Archives of Interior Design to collect and preserve the history of the profession.

A Fellow of ASID and the Interior Design Educators Council, Dr.

Fisher was awarded a 2022 Steelcase Social Innovation Fellowship, used to enhance NYSID’s existing Pre-College program to increase diversity in the design profession by actively recruiting students who have financial need or are from marginalized communities.

She is the author of, “HOME: The Foundations of Enduring Spaces,” and has been named by DesignIntelligence as a Most Admired Design Educator. Dr.

Fisher is on the New York State Department of Education Interior Design Board, and is president of NY11+, a non-profit organization, dedicated to promoting the value of interior design education.

Gregory Kovacs

Design Director, Benoy

Design Director, Benoy Gregory Kovacs, a trained architect and engineer from Budapest University of Technology and the Architectural Association in London, receiving the prestigious RIBA Goldfinger Award.

He has engaged in teaching roles at the Architectural Association and the Bartlett UCL, complemented by frequent lectures globally at universities and conferences.

Gregory’s work spreads academics, architecture, interior design, computation, and art.

Navigating seamlessly between these realms, Gregory injects fresh perspectives into his projects, earning numerous international architecture and interior design awards.

Notably, his art practice was recently honoured with the 2023 Hari Art Prize.

As Design Director at Benoy he operates within the Hong Kong, Singapore, and Shenzhen studios, overseeing diverse projects spanning Asia and the Middle East.

A significant facet of Gregory's architectural passion lies in the transformation of failing buildings and the revitalization of neighbourhoods.

Currently pursuing a Ph.D. at RMIT, his research delves into the cultural potentials of reuse, examining both large-scale architecture and small-scale art projects as avenues for exploration and innovation.

Dr. Cristiano Luchetti

Associate Professor, American University of Ras Al Khaimah Cristiano Luchetti is an architect, researcher, and educator based in Dubai with more than 25 years of experience in both professional practice and academia.

Since 2012, Cristiano has taught and researched architectural and urban design for UAE universities.

He is currently an Associate Professor at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE.

In his professional capacity, Cristiano provides consultancy services for various large-scale projects, encompassing the residential, commercial, and hospitality sectors across the Middle East.

He is Associate Editor Middle East of Compasses Architecture & Design and regularly writes about the architecture and urbanism of the Arabian Gulf.

In 2018 he co-curated the Egyptian pavilion at the Architecture Venice Biennale, and in 2021 co-authored the book "Desert:Space - Architecture for Emptiness." He recurrently serves as a juror for the most prominent international competitions and awards.

Tino Kwan

Principal Consultant of Tino Kwan Lighting Consultants Internationally acclaimed lighting designer Tino Kwan is regarded as one of the world’s most celebrated masters.

His glazing work can be found in landscapes across the globe, from commercial buildings, super yachts, to the most luxurious hotels, casinos, and private homes.

Over the past 45 years, he has accumulated numerous accolades from all over the world, including Outstanding PolyU Alumni Award from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Lifetime Achievement Award from the Hong Kong Interior Design Association (HKIDA), Top 10 Designers Award from China National Interior Decoration Association (CIDA), as well as being inducted into the Interior Design China’s Hall of Fame.

Kwan founded Tino Kwan Lighting Consultants in London in 1979, and the company now has offices in Hong Kong, Beijing, and Tokyo.

Some of his most significant work includes Regent Hotel Hong Kong, St Regis Hong Kong, Sai Sha Go Park, IFC Mall Hong Kong, Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau, Shangri-La Shougang Park Beijing, Raffles Hotel Singapore, Four Seasons Seoul, and The Peninsula Tokyo.

Today, Kwan is one of the most influential figures and has made tremendous contributions to the industry, providing design and advice for lighting and smart control manufacturers worldwide.

Kwan has been giving lectures at design institutes in Hong Kong and the Tsinghua University in Beijing since 2008, and is keen to pass on his knowledge and to create opportunities for young designers.

He is also actively involved in the Asia Pacific Hotels Design Association, a platform for international hotel designers and hoteliers.

Kwan served as its Vice President from 2010 to 2016 and is currently as President since 2016.

President, The Hong Kong Institute of Architects Ar.

Benny CHAN is President of Hong Kong Institute of Architects, and Vice President (Local Affairs) of Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design.

He was also the former Assistant Director (Architectural) of the Architectural Services Department and former Chairman of the Hong Kong Architects Registration Board.

His career has been closely associated with the design and construction of public buildings and urban development in Hong Kong, including major infra-structural projects like Cyberport Development and West Kowloon Cultural District Development.

Executive Director and CEO, Chinachem Group BFA, BArch, BSc, MA, MBA, Architect AIBC, MRAIC, RIBA, RAIA, APEC Architect, FHKIA, FHKIUD, PRC Class 1 Registered Architect Qualification, Registered Architect, Authorised Person Donald has worked globally as architect and developer for over 40 years.

He is familiar with both public and private construction projects and believes in the power of design and technology to empower society.

He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Chinachem Group.

He was the Managing Director of Nan Fung Development and before Nan Fung, Director of Foster and Partners and the Authorised Person – Architect for the Hong Kong International Airport Passenger Terminal (HKIA Silver Medal Winner) and many infrastructure projects at Chek Lap Kok.

The airport was awarded the Top Ten Construction Projects in the World and has won numerous awards including the Best Airport in the World since opening in 1998. Donald is active in community services.

He has held multiple leadership roles in NGO and professional bodies that focus on design, innovation and the community.

He is the Board Chairperson of the Construction Innovation and Technology Application Centre and also a Board member of the Business Environment Council, Hong Kong Design Centre, Hong Kong Green Building Council and Habitat of Humanity HK.

Donald also serves as the President of the Hong Kong Institute of Real Estate Administrators and a Member of the Council for Carbon Neutrality and Sustainable Development, Land and Development Advisory Committee and the Hospital Governing Committee of Hong Kong Eye Hospital & Kowloon Hospital.

He was the Former President of Hong Kong Institute of Architects and the Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design, as well as the former Chairman of the Architects Registration Board, HKSAR.

Enoch Hui

Founder of Atelier E

Founder of Atelier E ENOCH HUI received his architectural training at the University of Bath and practiced architecture and interior design in both the UK and Hong Kong.

He found Atelier E in the year 2009, where every project is a symphony of sequential and intertwining spaces with unique and refined detailing carefully arranged to produce a journey of discovery.

This approach reflects Hui’s motto that life is full of joy, so enjoy it as much as you can, while you can. - and very much the same idea he always wants his client to experience in his design.

Enoch is a full member of Hong Kong Designers Association HKDA, former vice chairman of Hong Kong Interior Design Association HKIDA and former chairman of Asia Pacific Interior Design Awards APIDA.

He has also been a guest critic for design institutes at home and in the UK.

Architecture Corrin is the Director of AOS.Architecture and a Registered Architect in Hong Kong.

She is a fellow of HKIA and member of HKIUD and now serves as HKIA Council Member.

She served previously as Ex-Honorary Treasurer, and Ex-Vice-President of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects.

She also chaired the Hong Kong Architecture Centre.

Her educational background includes a Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University, New York, and a Bachelor's in Architecture (Distinction) from the University of Hong Kong.

Within HKIA, Corrin chairs the Media & Communication Committee and Women in Architecture Taskforce.

She is a member of the joint Institutes' Northern Metropolis Taskforce.

Corrin's design portfolio encompasses architecture, urban design, interior spatial design, art installations, exhibitions, and stage set design.

She has served as a juror for the HK Design for Asia Award, Japan Design Award, and pre-jury for the CADSA student competition.

Corrin's dedication to the field is evident through her diverse expertise and commitment to fostering emerging talent.
