It separates daily behavior and perception, blank, fracture, float, dissociation, cut, concatenation in a strange way, expand the existing context, remove the current meaning, and create a dematerialized landscape. However, the purpose is not for alienation, but to release the energy of perception completely in the pure vacuum atmosphere beyond matter, to touch a kind of immaterial experience in an absolute way.
The growth of space is not just the growth in the dimension of time, but also reveals a kind of growth along with nature and participation in the entire process of naturalization of space.
As Isamu Noguchi said, ""Concrete could be natural, interstellar space is natural."" In such a context, the ""landscape"" of geometric blocks is a real landscape, and the ""garden"" built artificially in the interior is also a real garden.

We found that contemporary youths tend to consume coffee, milk tea and light alcoholic beverages as their main leisure drinks. Due to the street invasion of coffee and other new beverages, they are rapidly filling every corner of our lives.
As a traditional Chinese beverage, tea drinking is becoming more and more artistic in the city, with its ornamental value higher than the drinking value. However, by its nature, we believe that tea drinking should be dissolved in life.

Based on the thousand-year historical background of Changsha, integrating design with modern technology, designer used the basic techniques of geometric elements with a sense of futuristic technology, to present an interstellar play world where ancient civilization and the future meet, and a spiritual realm exclusively for Changsha.
Using the concept of scattered stars, the designer integrates simple points, lines, surfaces and bold color schemes into the space planning. Coupled with local humanities and modern technology elements, cross-domain collisions create a stunning visual feast. The large-angle bent copper section wall in the lobby is alternately compressed by concave and convex, extending the structure of time and space.
Rendered with red light, a T stage runs through the center of the lobby bar. The dark tones extend and lengthen the calm of the space, and the neat lines depict a rational space, deducing mysterious atmosphere.

The interior design concept reflects the art of the Japanese tea ceremony. We incorporated the omotenashi spirit, the Japanese hospitality, into the space reminiscent of a tea room, where a host warmly serve one’s guests with meticulous attention. The easy-to-use sanitary features and the daybed inspired by Japanese engawa (veranda-like porch) offer the guests a comfortable stay with functionality.
For the spatial elements, wooden lattices, tatami mats, sliding doors, hanging scrolls, and tea ceremony utensils are given a modern twist. They create an atmosphere with a sense of dignity essential in a tea room, but a space with a contemporary expression. In addition, artworks such as the original pine and chrysanthemum graphics inspired by the sliding door paintings in Nijo Castle, and wallpapers featuring the beautiful surrounding mountain range, add color to the space and a unique personality to HIYORI Chapter Kyoto.

The building itself is the warehouse of the workshop in the 1970s, with a reinforced concrete frame structure. However, after repeated renovation, the spatial characteristics of the warehouse itself have been very weak.
Through analysis, we extract the characteristics of the product itself to obtain the operation method of spatial form. Aritco is a screw elevator with transparent and light appearance, which is the crystallization of excellent industrial design and developed industrial production. We extracted tangible elements such as screw, control table and elevator proportion to express product characteristics such as vertical movement, suspension and speed.
Like Bao Zhong's painting, the overall matte black space becomes the display background of the red elevator products. The original building structure and walls are selectively exposed, and the core components of the elevator are displayed inside the space as exhibition intervals.

Our design implants the brand values into the space, and proposes “one's own rebel"" as the main thread that runs through all the elements. The rebelliousness of the interior space is reflected in the flexibility of the space, while using simplicity to against complexity. From the logic of the floor plan, we follow a flexible, dismantling and changeable way to endow the space with diverse functions.
Most importantly, it is a space that promotes interaction and communication. Living in a world so vast, we come to know the infinity within our own selves too. While there are certainly challenges surrounding us, perhaps resolving our internal struggles proves more significant to the individual. We hope this place can make people forget about their physical bounds, and focus on the essence of the message.
We hope our design offers an uncompromising persistence, a desirable rebellion, and the freedom to explore more possibilities.

For material selection of this project, the design team considered the culture of traditional Japanese cuisine and the philosophy they hoped to convey in the space. The meticulous control of material textures reveals ingenuity in design and detailing.

Coffee industry has been in an unprecedented booming state locally and globally. This trending culture embraces well-told stories and fascinating presentations from serving, graphics to spatial design. Simply a good cup of coffee is not enough for the retails to gain a margin given the competitive environment.
Customers want ever fresh and diverse experiences while exploring shops. Our client enquired us to renovate the espresso bar in a novel way to further boost his brand on the map. Spatial reinterpretation of the coffee roaster and shop tasked us at a commercially bustling district in Taipei. Dubbed as Diamond-shape living rooms, the small apartments in Hong Kong sometimes come with a lot of unpleasant acute angles, which to a great extent hinders how the space is efficiently utilized. However, such a unique design challenge can oftentimes create unique and novel interior spaces. In this entry, just like polishing a precious gem, we carefully chip away all the sharp angles, refashion all the partition walls, and free up the usable living spaces.
The major intervention is the L shape partition wall that cuts through the apartment in half. It leads the owners and visiting friends to a series of different spaces. Like walking down a modern art gallery, the textures, color forms next to you change with each step you take, from light grey to olive green, to white and beige; from squares, to ovals, to arches and spheres.

We extracted the images of ‘blue sky’ and ‘white cloud’ from the brand name. You can see elements of these 2 concepts throughout the entire space - each independent functional area is combined with various practical purposes to create designs with unique characteristics. We present the concept of ‘white clouds floating in the sky’ abstractly in the form of arcs.
The different arcs create a rich variety of changes to the space and the light way of illustration also reminds people of the weightlessness associated with clouds floating in the sky. In the design process, the arc-shaped metal plate was cleverly extended into the hallway. The arc shapes on both sides of the hallway follow the curve of the walls and extend out from the ceiling.
It seems that the audience can walk inside of the ‘floating clouds’.

The Retreat Centre attempt to create the “chemical reaction” between architecture and human. The Retreat Centre consider human being is an essential element of architecture. Moreover, architecture not only to satisfy the needs of people, but also communicate with people form physical to mental and spiritual.
It is a way for architects speak to human by means of spatial qualities, atmospheric qualities, and feelings. This idea was inspired when I was studying Peter Zumthor, who has the ultimate goal to create ""emotional architecture"" that make people react by architecture and to archive the harmonies in-between architecture, natural and human.
Human being shapes architecture; architecture shapes human being. I believe these two elements are the most important things to consider how to make a balance in architectural design.

A Spatial Celebration of Hong Kong’s Cultural Heritage With the rapid growth of urban development, old shops and street stalls that shape our cultural diversity will be demolished and eliminated, causing a gradual disappearance of local traditions and cultural heritages. To revitalize and celebrate these valuable and established practices, an elevated temporary bamboo structure is designed, creating a festival space for citizens.
Considering bamboo as a material used for urban interactions, the festival takes place annually and aims to engage people to experience and explore local street cultures and craftsmanship, through workshops and performances manifesting the spirit of Hong Kong traditions.

Iceland, half of the year is covered under ice and snow, while the hot spring brings warmth to this area. Water, as the origin of life, became the greatest gift for Iceland from the lord. We imitated the natural form by simulating the solidified fountain and covered functional spaces with local material.
The fountain-shape tower in the middle rushed out of the ground like new branches, becoming an irreplaceable landmark building. The site is at Grjotagja cave, the northern part of Iceland. Unlike other natural landscapes, the cave is like a hidden Utopia Wonderland right under the land. There are geothermal hot springs and a prestigious wonder of nature underground.
